Campaign: Steel’s Pride
Power Level: Classic
A reformed mutant criminal with the ability to control and manipulate darkness. Lady Night knows the underworld of Metahuman society and has turned her back on old allies to fight for something more. .
A naturally born Metahuman Pamela Stockton was shunned by her family for gifts she couldn’t control. As anti-Metahuman sentiment grew in the late 80’s and 90’s her parents abandoned her completely. Left to her own devices Pam grew bitter, resentful of her parents and the world that turned them against her. Taking the name Lady Night she targeted anti-Metahuman groups and protests. Sadly she became a catalyst for even greater fear after the first of the Quintessence Incidents early in 1999 just before the invasion. During the invasion everything changed. She fought alongside the Xeno Consortium to protect the world from conquest.
Bad Old Days
Shadows swept out across the street and into the bank. Moving through the darkness she heard the explosion of fluorescent lights and hiss as the smell of phosphor and ozone crept into her. A flick of her wrist and a plane of living darkness sent the guards spiraling across the tile floor. The vault door moaned and squealed as it was rent by the darkness that surrounded her. As her shadows pulled the door free a blinding flash of light struck her. Reeling back the vault door flipped end over end towards the attacker. Staggering to her feet she saw the hero Refraction bouncing the door out of way.
“Why do you have to do this?”
“I need the money… obviously.”
“Really? I thought you were more of a big picture girl.”
“I need the money, and this bank supports HAAD. You know what that means?”
“Yeah, they’ll thank me for stopping you out of one side of their mouth and fund the idiots trying to kill us with the other.”
“That’s right, you should join me.”
“Interesting offer, but I’ll decline Lady.”
“Why? You’re only helping the people out to get you.”
“Sorry Night, I’m helping the guards in the other room you laid, and all the people cowering in fear. you think some guys making minimum wage deserved to be put in the hospital because they couldn’t afford to be choosy?
The battle raged on from there, but the seed had been planted. had her righteous rage blinded her into hurting innocent people?
A black bodysuit and cape, Lady Night still wears her same costume from her time as a villainess. Her skin is pale white contrasting the dark colors of her costume. Her hair black, with two streaks of silver, although she shows no other signs of advanced age.
