A special request, let’s talk about the stegosaurus. The size of a large truck, or small bus, the stegosaurus. Iconic for the plates along their back, and spiked tail, the stegosaurus had some impressive forms of defense. Despite that they were herbivores, capable of rearing up on their back legs to push over trees to get to the best food.
Because the study of stegosaurus comes from fossil records, there is a lot that remains unknown. Due to it’s walnut sized brain, early theories placed the reptile with a second supplemental brain, but this has, generally speaking, been discarded. Another is the alignment of stegosaurus’s armored plates, which took nearly a century of study to determine. Other theories include the idea that the plates allowed stegosaurus to absorb heat quickly, taking less time to warm up.
