Not everyone is a captain of industry, or possess years of training for their work. A Jobber punches in, punches out, and gets a paycheck. Are you a jobber? If your CV reads as a collection of titles followed by “no experience required” you are probably a jobber. It’s not just entry level positions though, it’s also piece work, but can also represent someone who makes a living for themselves selling whatever goods or services that they can, from day laborers to running a working at a corner store, with mall jobs and janitorial, and warehouse work all in the margins.
Core Talents
There are no bad Talents, but there are Talents that can be undervalued. A majority of the Jobber’s efforts are devoted to making due with what you have. Finding good deals, making things stretch, or remembering how to repurpose something for what you need. In addition to this, the Jobber has Talents for dealing with the public and long hours of work.

When selecting Related Talents consider the type of work the character does, and which Talents help to zero in on those goals.

It’s not impossible to turn one’s Jobber status into a career. It’s probably more applicable to add talents like Area of Influence, Contact, Negotiation, an appropriate Study, and possibly Wealth to a character who goes from being an employee at a chain to being a district manager or store owner than it is to select Principal. Think of the difference as being someone who rises through the ranks versus someone who went to school for management and never really worked on the front line.
Boons
It can be easy to discount a Jobber’s abilities, but they possess a different kind of perseverance. Adapting to the situation on the ground, failure is rarely a deterrent, and what they can accomplish can stun those that might have overlooked them.
