Halloween draws near, for most it’s candy dreams and masked fantasies, the time of tricks and treats is upon them. Fake cobwebs and tombstones adorn homes across the land with giggles and laughs to be had by all. For the survivors of last year’s Perez Park incursion, all these things are reminders of the creature that changed them forever, Spider Jack.
Since the incursion, the legend of Perez Park and Spider Jack has only grown. The park itself has been the home to a number of pranks, teens and college age kids spreading the myth of the pumpkin man with every cotton candy tree drop, or fake giant spider. The jokes began to dry up as the patches of all white ghost pumpkins began to grow wild in rings around the park grove. Of course, that doesn’t stop children from sneaking in at night to play at least one game as they sing Jack’s song.
