UMMAC Poll 2: The Run Off

The results are in and we have a bit of a conundrum. There has been a tie between 1980-90 and Post Apocalyptic. To help put things together, we’re going to be doing a spin off poll this time as we try to distill what these results mean. To help figure this out, we’ve put together some options inspired by the first poll’s results:

• Apoca-what-now? Put this thing in the 80s! We need big hair, legwarmers, and new wave adventure! 
• Cannon Style Dystopian Breakdown: Our setting will take inspiration from films such as  Enter the Ninja, Death Wish, Young Warriors, and Thunder Run, there is still a government, but they are generally incapable and cannot protect people, it’s up to the characters to stand in the way of the coming chaos. 
• Living in the 90s! Nothing blows up until Independence day! Put this thing in the 90s!
• Retro Boom Boom! It’s the Apocalypse, as seen through the eyes of the 80s and 90s, Cherry 2000, Cyborg, Escape From New York (or LA), The Road Warrior, Tank Girl, you get the idea, lots of desert for some reason.  
• Today’s Big Boom: Let’s get on with the apocalypse and not worry about a nod to the 80s or 90s. Blow it all up and let’s see what’s happening based on today. 
• Troma Style Apocalypse Rising: In this setting, the end has happened, but not everyone has gotten the memo, films such as Class of Nuke ‘Em High, Surf Nazis Must Die, and Troma’s War. We may not end up as campy as Tromaville but they had an eye on the apocalypse to be in the 80s.
